For each Phase of HyMeX, a dedicated organization is designed according to the delivrables of the Phase.
Phase 1 of HyMeX has been devoted to the drafting of the White Boook (WB) which identifies the main scientific questions about the Mediterranean water cycle and the still open questions.
Phase 2 of HyMeX should produce the International Science Plan (ISP) and the International Implementation Plan.

- WORKING GROUPS (WG) The ISP is organised along the five major themes of HyMeX (see Figure 2) that are each addressed by a Working Group.
- TASK TEAMS (TT) and TASK SUPPORTS (TS) The implementation of the program necessitates to set-up teams dedicated to the implementation of specific type of instruments or modelling tools. Transversal tasks in support to and for coordinating these specific task teams are also needed.
- Access to Task Teams for Observations (TTO)
- Access to Task team for modelling platforms (TTM)
- Access to Task Support (TS)
- International Scientific Steering Committee The International Scientific Steering Committee (ISSC) is responsible for the formulation of well defined and coherent scientific objectives and ensures the fulfilment of the HyMeX objectives.
- The HyMeX Project Office (PO) The HyMeX Project Office (PO) supports the coordination and communication of the program:
- Odile Roussot (scientific coordination)
- Laurent Labatut (webmaster)
- Organization during Phase 1 of HyMeX (Whitebook drafting)

A crossbred organisation (see Figure 1) for the elaboration of the International Science Plan (ISP) and of the International Implementation Plan (IIP) is set-up.
